Kaitlyn Toohey (Tallman)

Kaitlyn Toohey (Tallman) has a wealth of competitive running experience.

A former OFSAA gold medalist in the 1500m in 2004 and bronze medalist in cross-country in 2003, Kaitlyn took her skills to the NCAA, where her Villanova University squad won the NCAA cross-country championships in 2009.

Kaitlyn has continued her running career on the northern side of the border, competing in road races and marathons.

The native of Mindemoya, on Manitoulin Island, and alumnus of Sudbury’s Track North Athletic Club has returned to her roots with a recent move to Sudbury and a position as occupational therapist with St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre.

Kaitlyn will work with the Voyageur distance and cross-country teams while continuing her own training.
